Who are we?
We are a continuation of the Kalispell Jaycees project that was started in 1985 which was a big success in that they were able to provide new winter clothing to 17 families that were in need of warm winterwear. Since then the local Jaycee chapter has folded and some of the members wanted to continue the project because of how well the community has responded to the project.
As of Nov. 6, 2009, the Coats for Kids project was made into a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization in order keep the project alive and to continue serving the community.
We hire local people to do the fundraising. We do not hire any type of firm to do the fundraising and all of the money stays here in the community helping local families and businesses. Our goal is to support and stay community active.
